Akshay Kumar has had a fantastic year with the success of Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. After giving three hits in 2016, the actor has also made it to Forbes Celebrity 100 list and came in at number 4. Now, ending the year on high note, Akshay Kumar has been roped in as the brand ambassador for automobile major Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle business unit.
Akshay Kumar announced the collaboration with the brand with a photo and wrote, “Trust, reliability and forward-moving are synonymous with Tata Motors. Honoured to be associated with a brand most of us have grown up with.” He will be taking up his new role at the launch of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles which is slated in January 2017. In a statement, Akshay said that no one understood the Indian trucking better than Tatas and there couldn’t have been a better and more apt brand to promote. He added that it was fun being in the driver’s seat of one of those monster machines, during a product shoot.
The brand association with Akshay Kumar for commercial vehicles will be followed by a multi-media campaign beginning in the first week of January. Besides products and solutions, Akshay will also be actively involved in a host of marketing and customer experience initiatives to be rolled out by the company.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be seen in satirical courtroom dramedy titled Jolly LLB 2 which is slated to release on February 10, 2017.
