While he is busy juggling between his roles as an actor and a singer, Ayushmann Khurrana who was last seen in the music video ‘Halka Halka’, is apparently now all set to do a Priyadarshan film. The actor, who will be collaborating with the South Indian filmmaker for the first time, will be seen as the lead in the sequel to the comedy Hungama.
From what we hear, MS Dhoni actress Disha Patani has signed this film and will be paired opposite Ayushmann. Though there has neither been any official announcement nor the details of their characters have been revealed, it is being said that the second instalment is definitely on the cards.
While Hungama was a remake of the 1984 Mohanlal starrer Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, both the films were an adaptation of a famous Charles Dickens’ novel ‘The Strange Gentlemen’. Hungama starred Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen, Aftab Shivdasani and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. On the other hand, we wonder if the recently announced sequel too will be a Hindi version of one of Priyadarshan’s South films.
