Farhan Akhtar‘s Rock On 2 stayed low on Saturday as well. Though collections were better [Rs. 2.5 crore*] than the day before but still, these are not the kind of numbers that justify a film as big as this. The overall collections currently stand at Rs. 4.5 crore* and ideally, these should have been the least numbers collected by the film on the opening day itself.
The film would show some kind of a jump today. Still, what one is looking for is massive escalation in collections as only that would allow the sequel to show some kind of a hold on weekdays. If that doesn’t happen then it would become all the more difficult for the film when the final tally is taken at the end of the week.
Chaar Sahibzaade: Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur (RBSB) had a stable Saturday with footfalls pouring in from the target territories. The film would have to be really consistent though in order to make a mark since the first in the series, Chaar Sahibzaade, had primarily worked since it turned out to be very good day by day, and then trendingweek by week. That film had eventually gone past the Rs. 30 crore mark even after a low opening day and now the second in the series would have to follow similar trending as well in order to leave a mark.
