After a five day long weekend, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha had its first real play on screens during a working day. The film continued to stay good as it collected Rs. 6.50 crore more. When compared to the first day collections of Rs. 13.10 crore, this is a good enough hold, especially considering the fact that this is not just the sixth day (when drops typically reach 70% level) but also that Toilet – Ek Prem Katha has already enjoyed two days of Rs. 20 crore or more.
The film has collected Rs. 89.95 crore already and would touch 100 crore by the second Friday. By Saturday, Week One of Tubelight [Rs. 106.86 crore] would be crossed and if the film continues to grow well as it did in the first weekend then Raees Week One of Rs. 109.01 crore* too would be surpasses on Day 9 itself. The comparisons are being stated here since these two are much bigger films with a production cost that is five times that of the Akshay Kumar starrer.
