He may have become a hot property in Bollywood soon after he debuted in Kai Po Che but Sushant Singh Rajput got a red carpet welcome into the prestigious Rs. 100 crore club only after his recent film MS Dhoni – The Untold Story. Riding high on success and fame, Sushant is now gearing up for many films in the pipeline and one amongst them is the soon to release Raabta.

While the film has been subjected to many speculations about his real life including his break up with longtime girlfriend Ankita Lokhande and his linkup with his current co-star Kriti Sanon, Sushant remains undeterred by the same. Standing tall, as he kick starts the promotions of the film, he also has many confessions to make about his life and mostly importantly love.

Sushant Singh Rajput goes into a candid mode while giving an interview for the famous magazine Filmfare. While the interview majorly focused on Sushant’s journey to success and Raabta, at some point of time, the discussion was all about growing up in the 90s amidst the love sagas created by the iconic Yash Chopra and of course, the then young filmmaker Karan Johar.

Talking about his first girlfriend, which was apparently in fourth grade, Sushant left everyone surprised but in order to clarify on the same, he added, “The definition of a girlfriend is subjective. It changes with age. Those were the days of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I was a kid but understood this is what a guy should be like… not studying, drinking beer but holding cultural values.”

But that wasn’t all! According to his recent confessions, the actor revealed that he had his first girlfriend during the eighth grade and considered Karan Johar responsible for the effect it had on his academics. How? Because this is what he had to say, “She was my senior. That was the time of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (KKHH). The film changed things for me. I got less marks because of KKHH.”

Let us remind you that post his high school, Sushant Singh Rajput went on to pursue engineering but soon dropped out to fulfill his dreams which was to become an actor. Starting his career as a model and then a popular TV star, Sushant Singh Rajput now has over four films in the pipeline and his Raabta is slated to release on June 9.
