While we are already aware of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati going on floors in Mumbai at a suburban studio, the cast and crew are all set to shift outside the city. We hear that the team is taking off to Rajasthan to continue shooting for their next schedule.
Readers may be aware that the history of Padmavati aka Rani Padmini is set at the backdrop of Chittor, Merwa Empire. The Rajput royal couple played by Deepika and Shahid, who have been paired up for the first time, will shoot in Jaipur and they will be accompanied by Ranveer Singh who plays the role of the cruel ruler Alauddin Khilji.
As far as the locations are concerned, it is being said that the trio will shoot in places like Amer and Jaigarh Forts. Apparently, they will also be shooting an important war sequence at Raisar village. Also, it has been learnt that this will be the first time where the trio of Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid will be shooting together for this film.
Based on the epic poem written by Malik Muhammed Jaysi, Padmavati traces the obsession of Alauddin Khilji with Rani Padmini and her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh trying to save his kingdom that faces the wrath of Alauddin’s obsession. The film is slated to release on November 17 this year.
