As dreamy as this team sounds, Farhan Akhtar is all set to take a huge step in his musical career and go international this time. The multi-talented star will be collaborating with the renowned French producer James Sanger for an untitled indie English album.
Readers may be aware that Farhan Akhtar is not just a singer but also a lyricist. While he has inherited the power of words from his father Javed Akhtar, he has continued to retain his love for music through his films. Elaborating on this new collaboration, Farhan stated that the songs are currently being written and they have finished the basic composition. As of now, they are looking out for a studio. He also shared about the great experience of working closely with Sanger for the four songs they have short-listed for the upcoming untitled album.
Revealing details on the songs, Farhan added that after a discussion with James Sanger, who has immense knowledge on the subject, the duo decided to finalize four songs that, according to them, will resonate with the audience. These songs will retain the spirit of the folk-rock genre, which they always intended to have. He also maintained that the songs will have a different syntax, since we will see him singing in English instead of Hindi this time.
Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar played the role of a rockstar in his last film Rock On 2. Though not as an actor, he is gearing up for the forthcoming biggie Raees, which has been produced by him along with partner Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment.
