South Industry star Dhanush, who had made his Bollywood debut with Raanjhanaa, has landed in a legal soup. A few days ago an elderly couple from Melur Taluk in Madurai made a shocking claim that Dhanush K Raja was their biological son.
Kathiresan (60) and his wife Meenakshi (55) who are the residents of Malampatti in Melur taluk said Dhanush was one of their three children and was born at Government Rajaji Hospital in the city on November 7, 1985. They provided a childhood photo of him along with birth certificate as evidences. His real name was Kalaiselvan and studied at R C Higher Secondary School and Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Melur till 10th grade. After that, he was admitted for standard XI in a private school in Tiruppathur in Sivaganga district. The couple claims that Dhanush discontinued his education after that and went to work in film industry. This is when he changed his name to Dhanush K Raja and joined hands with Kasthuri Raja.
According to them, they had reached out to Dhanush but he allegedly refused to meet them before. As the couple is unable to manage their medical and other expenses, they had reached out to the actor for maintenance of Rs. 65,000 per month but he had allegedly refused to do so. So, the couple has summoned Dhanush to appear in court.
On Friday, Melur Judicial Magistrate Court has called Dhanush to appear before the court on a petition filed by a couple claiming that he allegedly refused to pay them any kind of maintenance. Dhanush will have appear in court on January 12.
Dhanush is the younger son of producer Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi and was introduced to the film industry by his father. He is also Rajinikanth‘s son-in-law.
